Sis Katie Brown recently started her mission to the Arizona Tucson Mission.

Brown said “her decision to serve a mission was not her decision.”  She had prayed and received the answer that it was “God’s plan for her.”  And that by serving she was “keeping the law of consecration.”  It was taking “an immense amount of faith” for her to serve a mission.  She also said, “Serving the Savior is the entire purpose of going on a mission because when I am serving others, I am serving Jesus Christ.”
